Nobody

Nobody’s perfect,
I heard them say,
giving the Ego a reason to play.

Held it back,
at every opportunity,
yet life had a way of trying to push through me.

My intentions were pure,
thou often misunderstood,
I genuinely cared because there I once stood.

I can’t help but wonder,
how it feels to be another,
the response is immediate, now care for them like a mother.

This connection I have,
with everything in existence,
wishing well, full of my intentions.

Made a mistake,
yes, some would say I made a few,
they molded me into the one, now speaking directly to you.

I respect you because you are perfect,
the way that you are,
to question that, would be to question the creator, God.
